Challenge
This beautiful, sprawling state park on California’s Central Coast serves two different audiences: Off-Highway Vehicle enthusiasts and beach-going daytrippers, all on ecologically sensitive land.
Key revelation
Innovative solutions, including creative use of digital interpretation, can reinforce the park’s mission while serving all types of visitors.
MY ROLE
Together with colleagues, I analyzed the site, audited existing interpretive materials including social media, reviewed visitor survey research, and reviewed the results of interpretive master planning meetings. With my colleagues, I wrote the final Interpretive Master Plan document.
